Coffee Chats with the Principal
Join us every first Thursday of the month from 8:00-8:35 AM for a community chat with the principal. This is a great opportunity to connect, ask questions, and share ideas.
Ramadan Mubarak!
As we continue the holy month of Ramadan, we extend our warmest wishes to our students, families, and staff observing this special time. Ramadan is a time of reflection, kindness, and community. As it comes to a close, we also look forward to Eid al-Fitr, a joyful celebration marking the end of fasting.
We wish everyone a peaceful Ramadan and a joyous Eid al-Fitr!

The Lion King – School Production
Come join the “pride” of South Shore! Our 3rd-5th grade performers are excited to bring Disney’s The Lion King to life! All performances will be held in the South Shore Rotunda on the following dates:
- Thursday, March 27 at 6:00 PM
- Friday, March 28 at 2:10 PM (school assembly) and 6:00 PM
- Saturday, March 29 at 1:00 PM
Tickets: $5 each, available for purchase online by 4 PM the day before a show. Tickets can also be purchased with cash or online at the door before each performance.
Donations: Support the South Shore Drama Club by donating via the same ticket link. All proceeds go towards future productions.
Kraken Power Play Ball Hockey Program
South Shore is excited to offer the Seattle Kraken Power Play Ball Hockey Program for students in grades 4-8!
- Start Date: Thursday, April 3
- Time: 3:30-4:30 PM
- Location: Gym and covered play court

PTSA Teacher Appreciation Week (May 5-9)
We are seeking parent volunteers to help make Teacher Appreciation Week special! If interested, please contact Ms. Naz.
Move-A-Thon (March 31 – April 11)
South Shore PTSA is excited to participate in the Southeast Seattle Fundraising Alliance (SESSFA) Move-a-Thon! This event helps raise funds for our school while encouraging kids to stay active and engaged in their community. Packets have been sent home and are also available on the school website.

Mother’s Day Flower Sale

Visitor & Volunteer Policy
All volunteers and guests must sign in at the front office, wear a visitor badge, and have a scheduled appointment. Volunteers working directly with students must complete a volunteer application, background check, and required training.
