Good afternoon, South Shore.

Thanks to everyone who came out for Pi Night–it was a great turn out and a fun event. Thanks also to our amazing math coaches, Mx. Malmgren and Ms. Mizuta, and the support of our PTSA and Title 1 funds for making it happen!  Wednesday our middle school leadership students hosted a celebratory and informative Black History assembly–great job everyone. 

Students got their class pictures taken today. Complimentary copies will be given to each student later in the spring.

Disney Musicals in Schools Presents… Finding Nemo!!! Please support our South Shore cast and celebrate all their hard work by attending one or more of their performances (in the Rotunda):

  • Friday March 22, 6PM
  • Saturday March 23, 1PM

South Shore Culture Night coming May 9! 5:30-7:30, please contact Ms. Naz to volunteer with a performance, sharing a cultural game or activity, or to suggest songs for the playlist. Culture Night 2024.pdf On time, daily attendance is essential for your child’s academic progress and for to our learning community. Our first bell rings at 8:50. School dismisses at 3:25 (2:10 on Wednesday). Please do not request early dismissal in the last 30 minutes of the school day.

Middle School Study Hall Friday mornings at 7:35. Ask Ms. Naz for more info.

School Safety Notes–All volunteers and guests in building need to wear a visitor badge and be accompanied by a staff person. Any classroom visits must be arranged with the teacher in advance. As we work to protect focused learning time, we will ask your student to come to the front to see you if you need to check in with them. 

Parking and Drop Off Update   Parking is not permitted in the bus pull through at front of school, community center parking lot, and no longer permitted at the bank parking lot during pick up and drop off. Caregivers may pull through the left side of the bus loop to drop off students in the morning without leaving their vehicles. Please not, if you use street parking during drop off and choose to walk your child in, please be sure to take them to the rotunda or playground. Classrooms are not open before 8:50.
