Good afternoon, South Shore families. It was great seeing folks last Thursday at the Community Resource Fair. Please join us again Tonight for Culture Night–an annual favorite event at South Shore. 5:30-7:30. Check out student identity projects, share and taste food from cultures in our school family, listen to great music, enjoy performances. You won’t want to miss this special event.
Also this evening, local organization, Urban Family, is hosting a community health fair in the parking lot at Rainier Beach High School. It starts at 4, so you can swing by on your way to culture night.

Water bottles! The weather is heating up and we need to keep scholars hydrated. This helps a lot with focus, overall health, and preventing headaches. Please be sure to send a reusable water bottle with your student that is not glass, and that has their name on it.
Technology Device Collection Students should continue to leave devices at school–laptops and ipads. We will be checking these back into the district, along with chargers, on June 17 (ipads) and June 18 (laptops). Devices that are not turned in may result in a significant fine for families. Please be sure your child brings and leaves their device at school if it is not here already.
Double check your child’s enrollment for next year. Use the school assignment look up tool and contact our front office if your address is in district and you didn’t turn in a choice form to change schools, your PK through 7th grade child should still be assigned to South Shore next year. Check The Source or use the School Assignment Lookup Tool.
All library books due tomorrow! Thank you.
