    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I still choose 100% Remote for my child this Spring?

Absolutely. Students in all-remote will have a block of the day that is synchronous instruction with a teacher in their grade level and a block of the day that is structured with Asynchronous work.

Can I change my answer about Remote or Hybrid preference?

Yes, through Tuesday, 3/23 5PM for Preschool and Intensive Pathways Special Education or Wednesday, 3/24 for other K-5th graders. Families need to email Dena Parmer — and indicate their preference.

Can I choose AM or PM for my In-Person Cohort if I select Hybrid Learning?

No. Families will not be able to choose the block of day for in person—student will be assigned the morning block unless there are too many students for one block. At this point we do not anticipate having a PM block of in-person learning.

    What is the schedule?

The District emailed families a proposed schedule as part of a transportation update. While this has not been board-approved, we are planning based on the proposed schedule which moves the school day forward by 30 minutes:

New PreK, Elementary and K-8 Bell Schedules

    8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (M/T/Th/F)

    Morning Block: 8 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.

    Afternoon Block (only in-Person if additional cohort is needed): 11:45 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

8 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. (W), All students will be remote Wednesdays and the building will be closed.

    Transportation—are busses available?

District communication to families has indicated that transportation will be provided for student with an IEP indicating transportation, with a 504-plan indicating transportation, or those experiencing housing instability and part of the McKinney Vento program. The transportation department is working with the district to make additional transportation available, but we do not have any information about a plan. Parents should not count on a school bus if their child is not included in the student populations listed above.

Will I have my same teacher?

We will make every effort to keep students with their current teacher during their synchronous (remote) or in-person (hybrid) cohort. This all depends on the results of the parent survey and staff accommodations.

    Attestation Process

The District will send a daily link to families (by text or email, as preference is indicated by family) for each student. Parent or Guardian must complete daily attestation for each student before 7 AM or they will not be able to come into school.

Can Parent or Guardian come into school?

No, all attestation, drop off, pick up will be done outside, rain or shine.
