    IN PERSON UPDATES:

    Negotiations are continuing with the district and SEA. At this time we do not have any new information. SPS Bargaining updates

    Justin will hold a question and answer session on Wed Feb 24th  OR Thur Feb 25th from  6-7pm with interpreters available. We will send a link.

    OPTION SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION CUTS

    Although transportation cuts will not impact South Shore, it will impact the other 15 others. Join School Board Directors for a Community Meeting, Saturday, Feb. 13, 3:00-4:00pm on Zoom! Be a part of the conversation around budgeting, busing and what it could mean for Option School students.

    Register at least 15 minutes before the meeting starts and we will send a confirmation email with a link to join the meeting.

    African American Male Achievement is launching Listen and Learn Forums

    We are committed to the long journey of dismantling a legacy of systemic racism. We invite Black families to participate and collectively envision what an educational environment looks like for Black boys and teens to thrive. Your voice will help build the office's intentional, long-term plan.

    OUTDOOR LIBRARY DATE:

    Join us February 26th between 12 – 4pm to check out or return books to the library.

     

    Academic Parent Teacher Teams:

    In March all K – 5 teachers will host APTT events. APTT involves strengthening partnerships between teachers and parents to achieve academic goals for their students. Teachers will help parents learn games and activities that will help their children gain academic skills that support what is going on in school  More info to come soon. Watch this video to hear what parents said about APTT last year.
